The International Boatbuilding College has relocated to Boathouse 4 after a significant renovation. This initiative, which has the support of Portsmouth and Highbury colleges, teaches a new generation of students the ancient boatbuilding techniques and other related skills that are still crucial for the construction and preservation of wooden boats today.
A naval display that looks over the boat building college gives visitors the chance to explore the intriguing world of small boats, which were the foundation of the Royal Navy. If not for the tiny craft transporting their food supplies, ships like HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, and The Mary Rose would not have achieved the success they did.
